I did not realize the worldwide historical influences that helped evolve the music genre we now call the Blues. This book gives lots of rich history regarding the societal origins as well as the taboos that all played a part over the first hundred years when Blues was evolving.
It's like one of those knowledge downloads in The Matrix. One quickly attains a foundation of blues history with Paul's no frills approach. The book is compact and its interesting content makes it a lightning read. In the little time it takes to finish i am astonished by how much I have to ponder afterward.
