Have you watched Jeopardy and thought, 'I can do that'?

How I Got on Jeopardy!and Won! edition by Jared Cohen Humor Entertainment eBooks

I really enjoyed this story of a young man's time on the TV game show Jeopardy. He tells it in a straightforward way with no bs - maybe, what two letters represent rubbish spouted by someone? Actually I've only ever seen the game a few times, and wasn't at all familiar with the wagering part, but I found it all extremely interesting, from the personal side to the things that go on behind the scenes in a game show, like having to bring along changes of clothes although a week of shows is taped on the same day.

Above all what I liked about the ebook was its honesty about the writer's feelings at different times, not just during the Jeopardy visit itself, but also during the preparation and afterwards. This added an authenticity that enhanced the whole account. I wonder if he ever did make it to Millionaire - I'm going to Google now to find out.

This is a tale of one person's experience with the Jeopardy game show. He covers his experience and how it effected him before, during, and after his appearance. He left me with little respect for him or his rare accomplishment because of his use of foul language, off-color remarks and juvenile writing style. I would have thought a Jeopardy champion and college graduate would have enough decent words at his disposal to avoid insulting the intelligence of his reader with such coarse language.
I like Jeopardy and this was free. I couldn't go wrong and I was right. Loved reading about how the contestant program works.
Great insight into the challenges of being selected to participate on Jeopardy
Very helpful and humorous too.
I paid $2.99 for this book and I don't think it was worth it. You can tell it was written as more of a personal note for friends and family on a blog or Facebook or something. It was definitely not a professional, polished "book". As other reviewers have mentioned, there is some language (which didn't offend me, but it was just kind of random). What annoyed me more is that the author wrote it before his games even aired, so he couldn't remember a lot of the specific details and just wrote things like "I don't remember exactly what the question was, but I answered wrong"

I probably would have rated this three stars for the "behind the scenes" aspects, IF I had not already read Brendan DuBois' EXCELLENT book "My Short Happy Life in Jeopardy", which is the same idea (a Jeopardy memoir of sorts) but much better written, longer, MUCH more detailed, and the same price ($2.99)
Not overly high quality of a published work, but gives fun insight into what it's like to try out for Jeopardy! and make it onto the show, and even winning a few games.
Its a modified blog post and reads that way. Fast read with good details on his personal experience but don't expect a 'how-to' guide.
