A lot about my growing up seems to have Ice Cream involved in my Sweet Memories. My Mar Loved ice cream, growing up we did not eat lots of dessert. If we had dessert it would mostly be ice cream. On vacation, Mar would always find place that scooped up great ice cream. Or a long walk to the ice cream shop, on a warm summer night, walking back home eating our soft serve, talking, and laughing. Thanks Mar!
My Grandpa (Weto) had a wooden ice cream maker, it was always a delight to see him get that out, it was just a matter of time before the ice cream was ready. Mar made up the custard, while Weto picked, washed, and sliced the peaches. Together, they made the Best Peach Ice Cream ever, it was one of the best parts of Summer.
